The Chudleys Gundog Championship is now well underway, with only a few qualifying dates left in the Countryman Fairs 2019 calendar of events. With only the Lowther Show and the Saturday of the Midland Game Fair left to earn your spot within the favoured gundog competition, now is the time to get those dates penned in and to get some top level gundog training in.
The Lowther Show takes place over 10th and 11th August within the remarkable grounds of Lowther Castle and the Chudleys Gundog Championship is just one of the sporting competitions that takes place there.
For 2019, the Chudleys Gundog Championship format includes several scurries and a Working Test for handlers and their dogs to try out. From the Up ‘n’ Over, Long Retrieve, Short Fence, Duck Distraction and Pick ‘n’ Mix challenging gundog scurries, to the timed and simulated shoot of the Working Test, both offer the perfect challenge for gundog trainers and newbies.
Have you got what it takes? Qualifiers from the weekend’s Lowther Show will go head to head with other finalists at the Midland Game Fair’s Grand Final in September, with the titleholder awarded £2,000 cash, an engraved trophy and rosette.
The next qualifying rounds in the Chudleys Gundog Championship will take place at the Lowther Show over 10th & 11th August 2019. To get involved in all of the action this season, just turn up and sign up, it really is that simple!
